How to Burn a CD in Nero

How to Burn a CD in Nero

This task may be very easy for some, but not for others. Here is an explanation of how to burn a CD in Nero.

In this guide, we'll use Nero Express, but you can also use Burning Rom if you prefer.

First, open Nero, and you will see this window:

Here, you choose what you want to do. For example, you can create a data DVD, data CD, music CD, burn an image, etc.

Let's create a music CD. Go to "Music" and select "Audio CD." If you want an MP3 CD, go to "Data" and select "Data CD or DVD."

A window will appear where you can add the audio files.

Drag the audio files without exceeding the 80-minute red line. Once you see the files added to the list:

We’ll normalize the volume so that all tracks play at the same level. Select all the files, right-click, and go to Properties.

In Properties, go to the "Filters" tab, where you’ll see the option to normalize. Set it to 25 or 27, which is the normal volume, check the box for "Normalize," and click "OK." Then, in the next window, click "Next."

Click "Next," and now you’ll see the window where you can name the CD (this is the name that appears in My Computer when you insert the CD). You can also add the artist's name if you want, set the number of copies at the bottom, and click "Burn."

If you have multiple CD burners, indicate which one you want to use under "Current Recorder."

That's it! Now, just wait for the CD to finish burning.

Erase a Rewritable Disc

To erase a rewritable CD or DVD, go to the left panel where you see an arrow. Click it, and a smaller window will open. Click on "Erase Disc."

Copy a CD or DVD

At the beginning, go to "Image, Project, Copy," and select "Copy Entire CD or DVD."

Choose the source and destination drives, the recommended burning speed ("Max" for DVDs and "40" for CDs), the number of copies, and click "Copy."
