The Deception of Buying Website Traffic

There are companies that offer 5,000 or 10,000 visits for $10 or less. Surely, this is a scam. If you’ve been creating and optimizing a website for some time, you’ve likely realized that the only way to get visits is by writing original content without copying, along with a lot of effort and dedication.

While these companies may indeed send you thousands of visits as promised, these visits are useless. Why? Because they come from automated bots designed for this purpose or from visitors generated through link exchange platforms.

Anyone can achieve thousands of visits this way with little effort, but what would we gain? Simply an increase in the number of impressions on our site, and that's it. No user will stay on the site because they’re not interested.

When you use a link exchange platform, you participate in a system where you visit 100 pages to receive 100 visits in return. This might seem safe, but what happens? The 100 visits you receive are from people like you, who browse a set number of pages daily to earn visits for their own sites. These people are only interested in accumulating points for their websites and have no interest in the pages they’re viewing. They’ll simply click to move to the next page without reading even the first word of your content. Try it yourself—sign up for one of these rotators, browse page after page, and you’ll see firsthand that the content doesn’t matter to you, only the points you’re collecting.

For webmasters just starting out, it’s better to focus on building their site with dedication and without copying. I won’t deny it—this is very difficult and might take years to achieve your goals, depending on your website’s niche. Keep in mind that 80% of visits come from Google, and Google values original content. Write many interesting articles, and over time, you’ll see visits begin to flow from Google. I also recommend registering your site on various directories and forums for promotion.

SPAM:
The worst practice to gain visits is excessive, unsolicited advertising by placing your link everywhere and annoying people. This will only result in losing potential visitors. Promote your site moderately without resorting to SPAM, and you’ll see your site gain popularity in no time.
